Bibbity Bobbity Boo!
Lindsey, Linjitzu, Jitz....
18 years ago today... its amazing how quickly time seems to fly when you're trapped in a family of four girls... :)
I remember you as a baby... long fingers,... and that vein in the middle of your head that you still have... :) you were so fair skinned, and so tiny. I remember how you slept through the night at two weeks old (for 12 hours!) and you kept sleeping that well. You were such a content and sweet baby. You loved your blankie (even when it got all ratty and worn out) and your thumb. At 18, I'm pretty sure you could still sleep for 12 hours... easily.
You were born on a day much like today... we had just had a really bad snowstorm and everyone was concerned about the roads, but we were registered guests in the hospital room...two days of room and board, oblivious to the outside world, amazed at the beautiful wonder God had just delivered into our lives.
I remember the perfect outfit we took you home from the hospital in. It was angelic... white and spotless... an ideal wardrobe for you....
... the years to come proved to me that God knew what He was doing with you. Your entrance into the world...the white snow, white outfit, pure infant... who then developed into a beautiful Cinderella loving princess.
I remember when you were two years old and all you wanted to do was watch "Rella" over and over and over again... and when you were four and five... all you wanted to do was play Barbies (well..and six, and seven, and eight, and eighteen... ). You were such a mommy's girl. When Haleigh would play outside you would just hang out with mom and watch the neighbor kids out the window.
I remember when you were 11 one time you were so upset because you were just playing a "nice little game of cops and robbers".... and someone ruined it. Everything was always innocent and sweet and "nice" in Lindsey's world.... even cops and robbers.
There are so many wonderful memories of you growing up. So many memories tucked away to remind me of your personality, and your style... and you. I have enjoyed the past 18 short years... and look forward to the next hundred with you!
Happy Birthday Cinderella... my sweet princess. Remember... a dream is a wish your heart makes... and may all your dreams come true!
