the Proverbs woman

I was reading Proverbs today... Proverbs 31 to be exact. That woman is incredible. But, this verse stuck out today:

verse 21 "When it snows she has no fear for her household, for all of them are clothed in scarlet."

This woman is PREPARED for anything. Serious. A far cry from me.

It snowed one day last week. Boots didn't even cross my mind. I was lucky to get a coat let alone boots or mittens or hats.... No, I'm not the Proverbs 31 woman.

I don't even have groceries in the house - no milk - no eggs - no bread. Last night for supper we had leftover chinese, cheese, tomatoes, and thuringer. Nobody in their right mind could consider that a meal.

I was going to go to the grocery store and actually COOK tonight. Then I found out that everyone has something going on. So, we're going out to eat.

((( SIGH ))))

oh how i wish i could be the proverbs 31 woman....

I love thuringer. Just think: it would be much harder to eat thuringer and eggs with gloves on.

um. thuringer, whatever that is... i think you are about as close to the proverbs woman as one can get. do you realize how many things you have going on at once, and still are the most incredible mom, and then remember that i asked you about something how long ago soyou call when you should have forgotten, and ok- i just think you're completely great.

coffee

I have to take issue with something. Dave Ramsey... love him. usually. But, today... I got an email from him (not because we're personal friends but because we've paid to take his FPU class)... and he had the NERVE to say that coffee is not a necessity. it is a luxury. I'm contemplating my open letter to him. Something like this... Dear Dave, Although I appreciate all that you have done in your life and ministry, I have to take issue with one point. Coffee is not a luxury. How can I ask my husband to extend a special line item in our budget for Starbucks when you continue to claim that it is a luxury?
