Moving
No, silly, we're not moving. That would require loads and loads of work. And I'm not doing that.
It's crazy. This week, 3 of my friends are moving. Yes, 3. All at one time. We committed to helping the first one that announced so we're on for that one. The others get our sympathy and support... but not our physical presence.
Mary and Paul are moving into a new home. They've rented for a long long time and we're super excited for them to be homeowners. This week we've spent some long hours getting the new place ready for tomorrows moving day.
Bill and Natalie are moving to Arkansas. There is something about Arkansas that keeps drawing our friends there. God is doing great things in their lives and we're excited for them to move to their next steps with Christ.
Tom and Patti are moving to Kentucky. They can't believe it either. And when I sang "We're going to Kentucky we're going to the fair..." song to her yesterday at coffee, she looked at me with wild eyes and said she'd never heard it before in her life. ut oh. She doesn't know the song.
Life is changing around here. Some serious things are changing. And I'm good with it. I am really good with it. It's hard and uncomfortable and stretching and strange in a lot of ways. But, it's all good. I know who is in charge... and I know what He is able to do.
Oh the Joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols.
Oh Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.
Psalm 40:5,8
