The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside My Window... are remnants of activities from the weekend. Toys strewn across the lawn, chairs perched near the fireside, sticks with marshmallow residue.

I am thinking... how blessed I am to have friends and family and love.

I am thankful for... my brothers and sisters both in Christ and by blood.

From the kitchen... pancake mix ready to be thrown onto the griddle at the proper time, raspberry syrup, and a basketful of fresh picked apples awaiting their destiny.

I am wearing... pajamas and slippers.

I am reading... Psalm 123 and Luke 5

I am hoping.... for God's loving arms and healing touch for Josh and Mel at the loss of their dear brother.

I am creating... nothing more really than a long list of chores for after school kids.

I am hearing... the rooster from the neighbor's yard, and the traffic from the road as travellers begin with another Monday.

Around the house... are signs of a weekend of a full home, much prayer, many tears, and much love. Housework will have to wait as God has other plans for our days lately.

One of my favorite things... sharing the deep intense love of Christ with hurting friends in an intimate way.

A few plans for the rest of the week... one day at a time, and looking for opportunity to bless our friends who have suffered such a great loss.

You are an amazing friend to SO many people. I am incredibly blessed to call you mine. You have touched my life in indescribable ways. No one will ever know but you and me. And God. He knows, and He will bless you for all you have poured out to me and to so many. You are such a woman of God and an example to me. I love you, my dear friend.
